Steeped in history, the building that now stands at 31 Dawson Street started life in 1846 as William M Jordan’s Pedal Harp Maker. Rumour has it that William had a curious penchant for wigs and headpieces, inspiring the birth of Peruke & Periwig as a tribute to Dublin’s love for tall tales and delightful folklore.

Today, Peruke & Periwig is an award-winning cocktail bar spread across three beautifully appointed floors. Exploring these three floors, you’ll find yourself immersed in a wonderland of curiosities, wigs and portraits from times gone by. Each corner of our intricate space conceals hidden stories that have ignited the imaginations of our talented team and many a visitor to our bar.

Our Floors

Our ground-floor bar offers draught pints, expertly crafted cocktails, and an extensive selection of the finest whiskeys, spirits, liqueurs, and wines. This level is walk-in only, so there’s no need to book in advance; just stop by when the mood strikes you. We also keep things going a little later downstairs, so make sure to drop in for your next nightcap.
